MLK Observances



JMU students faculty and staff will be busy today commemorating and celebrating DR Martin Luther King's legacy with major events.Between 4 & 6 pm,members of the JMU community will be marching through campus to commemorate Dr King's many marches for civil Rights. Valerie Ghant, JMU's Director of Multicultural Student Services says this afternoon's march is a real highlight. Ghant says after the march,the Speak out will be an opportunity to share their thoughts on Dr King and their own multicultural experiences.Then there will be the unveiling of a Diversity Mosaic at the Rose Library and a COmmunity Service at Our Community Place.
